PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device having a wide viewing angle and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to refract light by a plurality of micro lenses, thereby providing clear screen at both side screen parts in addition to a front screen part. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device having a wide viewing angle includes first and second transparent substrates(110,120) joined together facing to each other via a liquid crystal layer, and a plurality of micro lenses(190) formed on an outer surface of either of the first or second substrate via a transparent film, wherein the substrate formed with the micro lenses is disposed at an opposite side from a light source(150).
