PURPOSE: A method for connecting calls in an elevator relaying system is provided to install a wireless functional unit for managing a propagation transceiving in an elevator, so that mobile subscribers can continue to call under a good speech quality environment as coming in and out the elevator, and to remove busy handoffs in the elevator. CONSTITUTION: If a busy subscriber enters a stand-by area of an elevator cell, to be transferred to other floor while talking on a phone through a repeater of a floor cell in a building, a mobile station measures signal strength from two repeaters and decides that a signal strength of a repeater of the elevator cell is stronger than a signal strength of the repeater of the floor cell, then performs a handoff to the elevator cell(S10). The mobile station connects a call through a wireless functional unit of the elevator cell, and waits for the call until an elevator door is open(S20). If the door is open, the mobile station connects the call through a wireless functional unit of the stand-by area, and simultaneously connects the call through a wireless functional unit of an elevator, to prepare for the subscriber entering the elevator(S30). If the subscriber enters the elevator and the door is closed, a connection with the wireless functional unit of the stand-by area is cut off, and the subscriber talks on the phone through the wireless functional unit only of the elevator(S40).
