PURPOSE: A metal oxides-based low temperature active catalyst and its preparation method are provided, which metal-oxides-based catalyst adsorbs, oxides and degrades the poisonous gases at 50-250 deg.C. CONSTITUTION: The metal-oxides-based catalyst comprises one or more materials selected from SiO2, gamma-Al2O3, Zr2O3, TiO2 and clay as a carrier; two or more components selected from metal oxides of Mn, Cu, Cr, V, Fe, Ti, Ni, Co and Ce, and one or more components selected from TiO2 and clay; one or more materials selected from zeolite, activated white clay, TiO2 and Ca(OH)2; and a binder selected from silica sol, methyl cellulose and poly(vinyl alcohol). The method comprises the steps of making the metal oxides by coprecipitation and impregnation; impregnating the metal oxides into one or more materials selected from zeolite, activated white clay, TiO2 and Ca(OH)2; and molding the mixture.
