PURPOSE: A method for improving the efficiency of an internal combustion engine is provided to enhance efficiency by performing an expansion process under the maximum pressure after relatively sufficient combustion. CONSTITUTION: An ununiform rotation transfer device is formed on a rotary shaft. A rotational force having an ununiform rotational rate is applied to a rotary engine. Perfect combustion is accomplished by extending expansion time more than compression time. After the perfect combustion, adiabatic expansion is carried out. The expansion time is extended by applying the rotational force to reciprocal motion through combination of a crank and a piston. Then, the internal combustion engine is expanded after the perfect combustion.
