The invention concerns an electromechanical acting element comprising an electronic control and power unit for powering a driving unit (12) including powering means (40, 60) and motion transforming means (41-42, 61-62) and adapted to move an actuating element (14) via an elastically deformable element (13), the actuating element (14) being designed to act directly on a linking element (20) connecting the activating element (10) to an actuator (30), said activating element further comprising a position sensor, called first position sensor (15), adapted to supply to the electronic unit (11) data concerning the position of the driving unit (12): a second position sensor (16) is provided for supplying the electronic unit (11) with data concerning the position of the elastically deformable element (13). The invention is applicable to automatic control of a motor vehicle gearbox in particular.
