The teeth on the hub (9) engage internal drive teeth on a disc (25), which is driven by an output disc (5). The clutch includes torsion-damping springs (17), which transmit the drive from the clutch input disc (3). The outer part of this disc has the clutch linings (7) attached to it. There are friction elements (21,23) near the hub to provide a measure of torsional damping.
