PURPOSE: A method for handling a cash memory in a switching system is provided to implement a write-through cash for minimizing data disagreements between a disk and the cash memory, so as to remove a blow-out of cash data, which is caused by a processor down or a processor switching, and so as to improve reliability relating to a file handling of charging data or a file managing of programmable logic device(PLD) data. CONSTITUTION: An optional process of an operation and maintenance processor(OMP) checks whether a data block for being written is equal to data of a cash memory. If so, the process locates an oldest cash block in a front of a cash link, and writes data in recorded media of a storage and the cash memory, according to a write command. If the data block is not equal to the data of the cash memory, the process reads required data blocks from the recorded media to move the data blocks to the oldest cash block, and locates the cash block in a front of the cash link to write the data in the recorded media.
