AIR CONDITIONER WITH DISPLAY WINDOW AND CONTROL BOX INTEGRALLY FORMED INTO SINGLE UNIT

PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to maintenance and repair work to be performed in a convenient manner by arranging a control box to be positioned at a front upper portion of a cabinet. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a cabinet(50) having at an interior thereof a blower device(56) and a heat exchanger(57) and of which front surface has an opening; a control box(90) fixed to a center of the front surface of the cabinet; a display member(96) positioned at a front portion of the control box and which displays various information such as indoor temperature and time; and an electric component control member(97) arranged behind the display member within the control box and which controls a variety of electric components. The cabinet has an upper panel(52) and a front panel(51), and the control box is interposed between the upper panel and the front panel of the cabinet. The control box has at inner upper and lower surfaces thereof a guide protrusion(98) , so that a main board(95) is contracted/ expanded to/from the control box, for convenience of maintenance work.
