REAL TIME TRAFFIC SURVEILLANCE ON THE INTERNET

摘要

PURPOSE: A real time traffic surveillance system on the Internet is provided to extract approximate traffic information and achieve convenience in building a real time surveillance system. CONSTITUTION: A system comprises an image analyzing module consisting of a section for calculating vehicle speed by using correlation between two pixels positioned in the vehicle proceeding direction and the other section for calculating occupancy rate of vehicle by using a difference between the color of a predetermined pixel and the color of road; an agent for analyzing image using the image analyzing module, extracting traffic information and providing the extracted traffic information through a web server; and a terminal for requesting traffic information to the agent positioned at the road.
