PURPOSE: A method for tracking an R2 register singling in a key phone system is provided to set up an R2 signal tracking function to monitor the R2 register singling, and to process a transceiving singling system with two digit numbers, so as to identify forward/backward signals and a calling category for exactly recognizing an R2 singling message. CONSTITUTION: A key phone system sets up an R2 signal tracking function with man machine communication(MMC) by using a key phone terminal. The key phone system transmits an R2 tracking-on signal of an R2 seizure message to a signal processor from a calling task, and transmits a digit relating to a telephone number. The key phone system transmits the digit relating to the telephone number, and transceives forward/backward signals. If an R2 singling is completed, the key phone system formats an R2 time with the R2 singling to output the formatted R2 singling to a PC monitor.
