DEVICE AND METHOD FOR AVOIDING COLLISION OF LPG VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for avoiding a collision of an LPG vehicle are provided to make a responding speed fast and to decrease a collision rate with a front vehicle caused by driver's carelessness. CONSTITUTION: A start key of an LPG vehicle is turned on. An ECU(engine control unit)(300) recognizes a distance from a front vehicle through a camera(100) and a signal conversion unit(200). The ECU decides the possibility of a collision with the front vehicle based on the distance and speed. In a dangerous state of collision, the ECU controls a step motor(400) to secure a safety distance with the front vehicle. An amount of mixed air supplied to a cylinder from a mixer is controlled by controlling the action of a second throttle valve. Accordingly, the speed of vehicle is regulated to secure the safety distance.
