The energy absorbing linkage for a gas turbine mounting in an aircraft has a female casing (5) defining a cylindrical chamber (10) axially traversed by a rod (25). The chamber has a cover (15) and the rod slides in the casing and cover. The rod has two deformable plastics inserts (35) positioned axially (2). The rod has a shoulder (29) which can engage against the base (11) of the chamber and against the floor of the cover.
