The inner sleeve (12) has a slightly bell-mouthed first end, carrying an inner race for a ball bearing (10). The second end is slotted (32) and is bent outward to form a flange (26) engaging the inwards-facing extremities of the diaphragm-type clutch springs (40). The Belleville spring (14) is situated between the ball bearing and a metal or plastics sleeve (16), which bears against the ends of the clutch springs.
