PURPOSE: A horizontal output protection circuit for monitor is provided to protect damage to the circuit by stopping operation of the circuit when the horizontal output voltage is higher than a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION: A circuit comprises a horizontal B+ supply device(10) for supplying B+ in accordance with the frequency conversion of horizontal synchronization signal; a horizontal driving circuit(20) for supplying a switching signal for driving a horizontal deflection circuit, a horizontal output transistor(Tr1) which is turned on/off by the horizontal driving signal, a resonance capacitor(Ct) and a damper diode(D) charged or discharged by the horizontal output transistor, and a horizontal output protection unit(30) for sensing the over-voltage state when the horizontal output voltage is higher than a predetermined level, and allowing a monitor to operate in a protection mode.
