PURPOSE: A method for compensating Rayleigh fading using modified sinc interpolation is provided to apply a waiting factor calculated by a modified sinc interpolation algorithm to a single shock wave response function of a conventional sinc interpolation according to time sections, so as to improve estimate accuracy for a data symbol. So that a BER(Bit Error Rate) can be reduced and the performance of a receiving device can be improved by a fast hardware operation speed. CONSTITUTION: Voice signals from a microphone(11) are converted to electrical analog signals. The analog signals are converted to bit signals by an A/D converter(12). The bit signals are converted to parallel signals as many as M carriers through a serial-to-parallel converter(13). The M parallel signals are converted to one data symbol per bit by a 16-QAM(Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) symbol converter(14), and pilot symbols are inserted every symbol period. The M parallel data symbols, where the pilot symbols are inserted, are converted to pulse signals through a pulse shape filter(15). The pulse shaped parallel data symbols are allocated by M subcarrier modulators(16), and converted to subcarrier signals. The M subcarrier signals are converted to high frequency signals through a subcarrier modulator(17), and transmitted to a channel(20).
