[Class 141] A device for facilitating the maintenance of grip on golf clubs and like striking implements, comprises a wrapping or encircling member 1, Figs. 1 and 4, provided with a wrist band 2, and with a loop 3 for receiving the second, third, and fourth fingers, the member 1 being adapted to hold the fingers closed around the golf club &c., and to be secured in this position by means of the fastening 6, 7. The loop 3 may be replaced by finger stalls. In a modification, Fig. 2, a glove 9 has secured thereto at 12 an extension 10 preferably of elastic material, which is adapted to pass over the ball of the thumb, and the back of the glove where it is secured by a fastening 13, 14. In another modification, the extension 10 is secured to the backs of the second, third, and fourth fingers of the glove. In a further modification, the glove is replaced by a mitten.</p> |
