<p>An optical magnetic recording medium having a multilayer magnetic layer including a recording layer and a reproducing layer and being capable of reproducing fine marks by using the movement of a domain wall transferred from the recording layer to the reproducing layer by using a temperature distribution produced by laser beam irradiation, wherein recording areas are so disposed as to allow magnetism separation areas to adjoin recording areas between adjoining tracks and recording areas and magnetism separation areas are alternately disposed in one track with recording mark edges disposed in recording areas. When reproducing from the optical magnetic recording medium, a high-speed transfer is implemented by preferably irradiating two adjacent tracks with one laser beam for reproducing.</p> |
