The invention relates to an air shock absorber, especially for a unit support in motor vehicles, that is mainly characterized by its high damping performance, its compact dimensions and easy regulation and control. To this end, the air shock absorber has two damping plates (1, 2) oriented in a plane-parallel manner relative to one another and retained by a flexible membrane (3) in such a way that they can be displaced at a variable distance relative to one another. Said plates enclose a shock absorber chamber (6) having a height of only 2 to 5 mm. The membrane is especially configured as a rolling membrane. A throttle channel (11) passing through one or both damping plates is also provided. |
