Container for individual portions of fruit juice intended for addn. to beer consists of a container section (3) which can be opened by hand and which is loosely attached to the beer container. A vol. of fruit juice (4) corresp. to the vol. of beer is hygienically sealed into this container section, and is added to the beer at the point of consumption. The container section (3) consists of a satchet (1) with a head section (2). The junction of the satchet and head section is perforated such that when the head section is removed an opening (5) is formed in the satchet. USE/ADVANTAGE - For the addn. of fruit juice, syrup, etc. to drinks such as beer, and partic. in the prepn. of the popular German drink known as "Berliner Weisse met Schuss" which is a light beer to which a fruity syrup is added. The prepn. of the drink is made easier and quicker, since the waiter does not have to judge the quantity of syrup by eye. The quality of the drink is improved because the syrup can be added immediately before presentation to the customer, thus avoiding deterioration of the head on the beer which may occur if the drink is prepd. at some distance from the point at which it is served. |
