The Bowden wire (6) is operated from the vehicle's interior and is installed solely on the bonnet (1). The end of the Bowden wire facing away from the lock (4) , and an end facing the lock of a Bowden wire control (7) possessing a handle (10) in the vehicle interior have parts (11,12) forming a coupling. When the bonnet is closed, the parts engage; when the bonnet is raised, the Bowden wire side part (12) in the form of a pin is swiveled out of the range of the control side part (11) in the form of an eyelet.
