<p>The invention concerns a surgical instrument comprising a handle (1) extended by an elongated tubular portion (2), coupled by a ball joint (17) articulation (4) to a distal portion (5) bearing a tool (7). A control assembly (8) located in the handle (1) front part enables to control the distal portion (5) angular positioning, and the orientation of said portion (5), or at least of the tool (7), about its own axis (6). The control assembly (8) comprises a spherical ring (9), adjustable relative to its centre (10) and rotating about its axis (11), which controls the distal part (5) angular positioning via cables (4), and which transmits its rotation, via a universal joint mechanism (25, 26), to an internal element (24) coupled in rotation to the distal portion (5). Locking means enable to block temporarily the distal portion (5) in any angular position.</p> |
