The control unit which has level regulators has between a compressed air source (1) and air spring bellows (2) two parallel branch pipes (5, 7) of which one contains the level regulating valve (9). One or both branch pipes has a locking valve (14) which can be switched on one side electrically and on the other by a spring (18) into two positions so that in the position switched by the spring the branch pipe having the level regulating valve is switched free and in the electrically switched position the other branch pipe is switched free.
