The invention concerns a method and an installation for making packages in particular for displaying and preserving food products, in particular fruit and vegetables. Said method is characterised in that it consists in producing the confinement space by covering the cavity of each half-shell (8) with a previously stretched film capable of being drawn (27), and in physically deforming said film by the action of mobile shaping tools (15), having substantially the shape of the product to be packed, producing a partial vacuum in the space included between the film (27) and the half-shell (8) base to maintain by low pressure the film deformed configuration; after which the film peripheral edge is cut around the half-shell. |
