A personal data device have a memory for storing personal data and a data storage and processing module for enabling operation of the device and a two part code for enabling access to the data where a first part of the code is stored in the memory of the device and second part of the code is stored in the data storage and processing module, such that when the two parts of the code do not correspond, the personal data in the memory is deleted. A database server may be provided for maintaining a copy of the data stored on the personal data device so that deleted data can subsequently be reloaded. |
