The invention relates to a fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, whereby the guide (2) of the valve needle (5) comprises a hollow cylindrical section (2a) in the area of the pressure space (6). Said hollow cylindrical section is outwardly subjected to the action of the fuel pressure and is thereby pressed against the valve needle (5). As a result, a widening of the annular gap between the valve needle (5) and the guide boring (10) is prevented or diminished thus leading to lower fuel leak rates and to a more precise guidance of the valve needle (5).
