The proposed plate ensures absolutely stable osteosynthesis in cases when there has been arthroplasty and a coincident fracture of the femoral bone, in the area of the lumen of the shaft when it is not possible to replace the endoprosthesis, and in cases of fractures of the femoral condyles. In such cases the use of screws to hold the plate can result in damage to the cement and the shaft, and stable osteosynthesis is not always ensured. The proposed plate has transverse grooves that facilitate the binding of the plate to the bone, so ensuring absolutely stable osteosynthesis without impeding free blood irrigation. |
