A control device for electro-hydraulic supports, such as support frames used in mining, includes a casing accommodating an electronic circuit (24), several plug-in connectors (20) accessible from the outside of the casing for the connection of control leads and actuating control elements (14 to 18) connected to the circuit. The actuating control elements are grouped together in the casing as several independently exchangeable modules (27) which are connected to the circuit and to each other by means of plug-in connectors (30). Preferably, an operating module (28) having a keyboard and an emergency cut-out module (29) are provided. The modules may be provided in separate housings (21, 22) and the plug-in connecting elements are preferably in the form of multi-pole connectors. In a preferred form, the casing is open at the front (38) and rear (19) and the circuit module (31) is inserted from the rear whilst the operating and emergency cut-out modules are inserted from the front.
