PURPOSE: A method for producing single-directional electric steel sheet having improved magnetic property is provided by using double-driving velocity hot rolling to apply stronger shear stress to surface portion of the hot rolled plate, compared to typical single-driving velocity hot rolling, thereby accomplishing extremely increased orientation property. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises: re-heating a prepared slab at least 1000deg.C; applying shear stress on either sides of 6-7 finishing hot roll stands and on the other sides thereof by turns to conduct the double-driving velocity hot rolling to form a hot rolled plate of 1.5-2.5mm; annealing the hot plate at 900-1120deg.C; cold-rolling at 900deg.C. or less twice together with decarbonization and intermediate annealing process to form a cold-rolled plate having a final thickness of 0.35-0.25mm; and recovery-annealing at 600deg.C or less and final-hot annealing at 1000deg.C or more by applying MgO agent for separating annealed part to obtain the superior magnetic property electric steel sheet.
