A method of controlling an induction motor is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: a) selecting a mode of driving the induction motor; b) manually setting a driving current value, a peak current value, a Y-starting time period, and a delay time period when the mode of driving the induction motor is manual; c) starting and driving the motor according to the driving current value, the peak current value, the Y-starting time period, and the delay time period; d) detecting a peak current value, a driving current value, a Y-starting time period, and a delay time period based on three-phase current values being input in the induction motor; and e) starting and driving the induction motor according to the peak current value, the driving current value, the Y-starting time period, and the delay time period which are detected by step d) when the mode of driving the induction motor is automatic. According to the method, the induction motor is accurately controlled by automatically setting control parameters of the induction motor. |
