A tatami mat (1) for tiling which is suitable for tiling, which comprises a cuttable base material (2) and a smooth surface (3) of the tatami mat set on the base material (2), and which is preferably 300 to 750 mm square in shape when viewed from above. The smooth surface (3) is made of natural or synthetic-resin rush or woody fibers. The base material (2) comprises an upper layer (2b) consisting of a composite foam of calcium carbide and polyethylene or polyolefin or felt and laminated on a main layer (2a) of natural or synthetic rubber. The tatami mat (1) for tiling has the edges of the smooth surface (3) chamfered and the peripheral surfaces including the chamfered portions of the tatami mat (1) is covered with a protection film (7). |
