A method for separating an emulsion, whereby the emulsion is pressurized and saturated by carbon dioxide or mixed with water containing carboxylic acid and then heated. The inventive method is characterized in that the emulsion is fed to a tubular reactor, said reactor is supplied with carbon dioxide, the emulsion/carbon dioxide mixture is heated in the tubular reactor and the emulsion/carbon dioxide mixture is expanded at the outlet of said tubular reactor, whereby the oil phase is separated from the aqueous phase. |
