A cover glass for a flat panel display device and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. After a glass plate is preheated, the glass plate is heated to the transition temperature of the glass. The heated glass is formed to the cover glass having a front plate and spacers by a pressing process. The spacers are vertically prolonged from the front plate. The manufacturing process becomes simple and the manufacturing cost and the time are reduced. Also, the strength of the cover glass is increased since the front plate and the spacers are integrally formed and the appearance of the cover glass is much enhanced. |
