The invention relates to a high voltage power circuit breaker comprising two arcing contact pieces (4, 5) which are separated from one another in the case of a disconnection and between which, optionally in an arcing chamber (9) filled with an arc extinguishing gas, an arc (12) is drawn, whereby arc extinguishing gas heated by the arc flows through at least one flow channel from the narrow part (6) of an insulating nozzle (7) that encloses the arcing chamber. According to the invention, a contact tube (20) that delimits the flow channel (12, 13, 14, 15) is conically tapered in a direction of flow on at least one portion (13) of the length thereof. |
