The fuel cell has distributor plates (10,11) placed either side of the electrodes and electrolyte. The plates contact the electrodes to distribute the reaction, evacuate the reaction products and to collect the current. They are formed from electrically conducting plates and enable the reactions, circulating between an input and output, to come into contact with the electrodes. Each plate distributor is made up of a pile of porous sheets (13) which are enveloped in series by the reactive gas. Each distributor is preferably made as a bipolar plate which includes two piles of porous sheets situated on either side of a material which is gas impermeable and electrically conducting. |
