The composition is new. The composition, used in form of solution, is composed of: (a) carbonated magnesium di-n-propylate; (b) n-propanol; and (c) fluoro-hydrocarbon solvent, selected from 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC 134a) and 1,1,1,2,3,3,3- heptafluoropropane (HFC 227). Independent claims are also included for: (1) a process of preparation of composition as claimed, comprising: (i) preparation of solution (preferably 30-70 wt. % (wt./volume)) of (a) in (b); and (ii) dilution of obtained solution with solvent (c) as described above; and (2) a method of de-acidifying of cellulose-based material, comprising application of composition as claimed, in sufficient quantity, onto cellulose material using immersion de-acidifying system, or by spraying.
