Preparation of modified concrete, especially for road drains, by crushing mixture of concrete, polyethylene and pneumatically ground additive in rotor stator mill

A mixture of concrete, polyethylene granules or powder and a pneumatically ground powder additive is crushed at high temperature in a rotor-stator mill. A method for preparing Group 3a or Group 2 modified concrete comprises forming a pre-mixture of concrete containing 4-8 wt.% polyethylene granules/powder and 2-6 wt.% pneumatically ground powder additive, and then crushing the pre-mixture at a temperature of 160-190degreesC in a rotor-stator mill. Independent claims are also included for (a) modified concrete prepared by this method, and (b) the use of the modified concrete for road drains.
