Each flat object leaving an entry conveyor (2) is injected into the receptacle (8) of an intermediate conveyor (7) which comes facing the exit of the entry conveyor, when transferring the flat object to the bucket of an exit conveyor (5). An injection system (14) at the exit end of the entry conveyor accelerates and retards the movement of each flat object to a travel direction before injection in the receptacle. The intermediate conveyor is arranged in the continuation of the entry conveyor above the exit conveyor. The intermediate conveyor has receptacles moving to a direction perpendicular to the travel direction of the flat objects (9).
