The frame surrounding the vehicle side window is at least partly covered by a U-section seal (10) of a supple material which has one or more apertures (8) and a feed pipe (7) connected to the passenger compartment air heating system. The seal has at least one lip (9) which presses against the moving window glass, situated across its direction of movement, with the apertures (8) in an air duct (6) facing the same surface of the glass. During use warm air from the heating system is directed to the side windows to remove condensation and de-ice them.
