The label or support for a label consists of a plate (1) of a semi-rigid material which is cut to form three or more rectangular lugs (4, 5, 6), at least two facing in one direction and one in the other. The lugs are designed to hold a fastening strip which is passed between them and round the article being labelled. The lugs are of different lengths, with the longer ones being between 1.5 and 2 times the width of the fastening strip and the shorter one(s) 1 to 1.3 times that width. The cut made to form the lugs can have holes (12) at its ends to prevent cracking. |
