The ricer includes a vessel (1) provided with a handle (19). The base (3) of the vessel bears a strainer (4) mounting a blade (5) comprising a shaft (6). One end (7) of the shaft rotates in a bearing (8) and the other end (9) is mounted in a bearing integral with a crosspiece (11) extending diametrically in the vessel. The crosspiece is supported at its ends (12,13) on two opposite support elements (14,15) of the vessel side wall. A spring (17) is arranged between the blade and crosspiece. The crosspiece and handle are interlocked with each other and form a fixing body which is urged to be engaged with the supporting element (14). The junction part (20) of the handle with the other end (13) comprises a locking member (21) with the supporting element.
