The invention relates to a process and installation for preparing fodder meal from waste resulted on producing ethylic alcohol from grains. The waste distiller's wash as emulsion water and waste meal is subjected to a separation process by means of 5 steps of separation and finally, the liquid component is treated with CaOH. A usable coarse component is obtained thereby, simultaneously with a liquid component of good quality that may be discharged in sewer pipes, without affecting the purifying stations. The installation for applying the process comprises a conduit (1), a parallelipipedic buffer-vessel (3) mounted under 0 level, inside a tank (4), a screen (2), mounted at an angle of 45° inside the buffer-vessel (3), two pumps (5 and 6), a conduit (7), a distributor with bush (8), some classifiers (S1, S2, S3 and S4), two sieves (B1, B2), both provided with a helical conveyer (20), some stocking vessels (23, 24), some pumps (30, 31, 32 and 33) some setting basins (35, 36, 37 and 38 ), a pump with chipper and a pump (41), mounted at a level under the lowest level of the setting basins, a helical conveyer (43), provided with a lid (44) and a screen (46).
