The frame section consists of a solid or reconstituted timber core (1, 1') with at least one external portion (2, 2') exposed to the outside ambient medium and especially inclement weather, and an internal portion (3, 3') exposed to the inside ambient medium. The external and internal portions have thin covering layers (4, 4'; 5, 5') attached to them by a binding agent. The covering layer (4, 4') over the external portions is moisture-proof and resistant to light and UV rays, while the covering layer (5, 5') over the internal portions is designed to limit exchanges between the core and ambient medium to reduce and balance dimensional variations.
