The invention relates to a process for preparing a binder used in textile printing with pigment dyes. According to the invention, the process consists in polymerizing a polybutadienic latex, as core, comprising 60 ...100 % butadiene which is added, eventually, up to 40 % acrylonitrile and a blend of monomers as shell, comprising 74 ...94 % butyl acrylate and 3 ... 6 % N-methylacrylamide which is added, eventually, up to 23 % ethylacrylate at a core-shell weight ratio of 1:2 ...2:1, in the presence of 2....5% nonylphenol polyethoxylate sulphate as usual anionic emulsifying agent, and 0.2 ....1 % potassium and ammonium persulphate as initiating agent, the percentage being expressed by weight in relation to the total of shell-monomers. The claimed enables the preparation of a binder having good stability in time and to electrolytes.
