<p>The hydrometallurgical beneficiation of multi-metal pyrite ores comprises treatment of ores containing smallish amounts of sulphides of copper, zinc, lead and silver. The copper, zinc, lead and silver are extracted by oxidation in aqueous medium with oxygen at high pressure and temperature, combined with selective-solvent-based extraction of copper and zinc, and cementation of the lead and the silver solubilised in the lixiviation of the ferric residue with brine and membrane-based separation.</p> |
