Method for treating milk, especially breast milk (32) , comprises heating it for a short time in a container (24). This is set in motion, at least while the milk is being heated, so that the milk forms a film on the inner surface (29) of the container. An Independent claim is included for apparatus for carrying out the method which comprises a heat source and a drive for setting the container in motion, especially for rotating it, so that the container is heated for a predetermined time.
