The seat has a lower part sliding longitudinally along a slide track (18) made from a profiled rod section which has two parallel projecting rails (20) and which is divided inclined between the rails along a sectional line which passes through the geometric centre of the profiled rod section so that two identical slide tracks (18) are formed whose rails run at an angle relative to the edge of the associated vertical fastening plate (22) which has been formed by the separation step. This edge which has been formed by the separation is set parallel to the horizontal base of the passenger cell so that the rail is inclined about the predetermined angle to the base and allows longitudinal and height adjustment of the seat.
