<p>The present invention pertains to the tyre industry and relates to a device for studding the tyres of a vehicle. The semi-automaton of the present invention includes a frame with a mount comprising a C-shaped bracket. A device for mounting studs in the tyre openings is connected to said mount. The head of the device communicates with a duct comprising a supply device which is mounted on a separate mount and is used for directing the stud supply. A device for mounting the anti-skid studs is attached to the upper shoulder of the C-shaped bracket through an adjustable damping unit. The method involves lubricating the tyre opening by supplying a lubrication liquid therein immediately before inserting the studs.</p>
