A CD-R or CD-RW disk (10) is produced as a specific disk (10') on which a media number (1) which is a combination of a disk ID expressed by a decimal six-digit number, an MCN of a decimal 13-digit number, and an ISRC serial number of a decimal five-digit number, and encrypted data (14) encrypted by the media number (1) are recorded. The disk is subjected to a predetermined initialization by an existing formatting method. As a result, the user can copy data with copyright such as music, movie, or computer program data to a single disk only once but cannot secondarily copy the copied data on the disk to another disk, thus protecting the data with copyright.
