Method for detecting proteins (I) comprises (i) separating (I) in a gel; (ii) attaching at least one fragment (II) of a biotin-containing compound to (I), in the gel; and (iii) detecting bound (II). An Independent claim is also included for a test kit for the method containing at least one (II).
