The frame comprises matched, profiled plates accepting the tubes, and shaped to match the surface of contact. At least the outermost plates have connections, for anchoring them. Preferred features: The plates comprise plastic and are screwed together. They are held by tubes force-fitted through slightly smaller holes in matched positions in the plates. A nut and screw system clamp the plates together. The connectors have holes coaxial with bores in the plates for screwed bars and nuts, clamping plates and connectors together. Base sections with complementary cut-outs are provided. Spacers separate the plates. An offset connection method is described. Outer plates are equipped with handling fittings, e.g. handles or eyebolts. The connectors are metal angle, one limb of which is clamped to the plates, the other is interlocked or gripped to the resting surface.
